Review
This collection of poems explores themes of hauntings and the supernatural and offers readers a journey through ghostly encounters and eerie tales steeped in history. Each poem is meticulously crafted and draws on both the macabre and the poetic to create a reading experience that is as thought-provoking as it is chilling. The book’s structure allows for a seamless flow from one poem to the next and maintains a gripping atmosphere throughout.
One of the most compelling aspects of “Always Haunted” is its rich content. The poems are diverse and engaging, each one offering a unique perspective on the supernatural. The writing style is particularly noteworthy; LoSchiavo’s use of language is both sophisticated and accessible, which makes the book a pleasure to read. The visual presentation, enhanced by haunting illustrations, complements the text perfectly and adds another layer of depth to the overall experience. The appeal to the target audience—fans of Halloween, supernatural themes, and poetry—is undeniable. This book will resonate deeply with readers who enjoy the macabre and the mysterious. The uniqueness of “Always Haunted” lies in its blend of historical references and supernatural themes that provide a fresh and intriguing take on Halloween poetry. The editing is flawless, which ensures a smooth and enjoyable reading experience. One of my favorite parts of the book is the poem “The Hallowe’en Homicides,” which masterfully blends historical intrigue with supernatural elements. Its vivid imagery and suspenseful verses make it a standout piece that perfectly encapsulates the eerie and atmospheric essence of the entire collection.
While the book excels in many areas, a broader range of supernatural themes or more varied historical contexts could enhance its appeal even further. However, these are minor points in an otherwise outstanding collection. Readers who are not fond of poetry or supernatural themes might not find this book appealing. Conversely, those who revel in the eerie, the ghostly, and the poetic will find “Always Haunted” to be a treasure. The book evokes the style of Edgar Allan Poe with its dark, atmospheric poetry and might remind readers of works like “The Raven.”
“Always Haunted: Hallowe’en Poems” is a significant contribution to the world of supernatural poetry. Its evocative language, hooking themes, and beautiful presentation make it a standout work that is sure to enchant and haunt its readers long after they have turned the last page. With its potential to become a Halloween classic, this book is a must-read for anyone who appreciates the art of poetry and the thrill of the supernatural.

I love all the eerie, and spooky, and supernatural but I rarely associate it with poetry (sure, there’s Poe and some others but it’s not that common) so I’m super glad you guys brought this book to my attention.
Very nice👍
