About the BREW International Blog Awards
The BREW International Blog Awards shine the spotlight on the best blog sites in our metaverse or universe – wherever our hearts or minds may be at a given point in time. Quarterly winners are identified based on predetermined selection parameters and are then qualified to vie for the annual Blog of the Year title.

- 1 February – Start of 1st Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 31 March – Deadline for 1st Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 1st or 2nd week of April – Announcement of 1st Quarter BREW Blog Awards results
- 1 April – Start of 2nd Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 30 June – Deadline for 2nd Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 1st or 2nd week of July – Announcement of 2nd Quarter BREW Blog Awards results
- 1 July – Start of 3rd Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 30 September – Deadline for 3rd Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 1st or 2nd week of October – Announcement of 3rd Quarter BREW Blog Awards results
- 1 October – Start of 4th Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 31 December – Deadline for 4th Quarter BREW Blog Awards nominations
- 1st or 2nd week of January – Announcement of 4th Quarter BREW Blog Awards results and start of voting for BREW Community’s Pick winner.
- 3rd or 4th week of January – Announcement of BREW Blog of the Year Award and BREW Community’s Pick selection results
Award Categories
There are multiple categories available for nominations. Bloggers can also choose the “Other” option and recommend another blog category, if it is not included in the list. However, BREW reserves the right to decide whether or not to include the recommended category in the final list of categories. Categories may also be renamed or updated, if found necessary.
BREW may or may not award a different title to a deserving blog if a more appropriate one is identified during the judging process.
BREW may choose not to give an existing category award to any blog if there are no entries that meet the minimum judging criteria.
The Prizes
Additional prizes may be given to winning blog entries as time goes by. For now, the following are the minimum guaranteed prizes for the winners.
All Entries

Blog Category Winner
The winner for each blog award category will receive the following entitlements:
- Copyright to use the specific award title for the quarter on your blog and promotional materials
- A personalised digital logo with your blog name and the specific award category title won
- Award announced on the BREW website and other channels
- A consolidated PR
- A permanent 10% discount on all products and services offered on our partner site, Store with a Heart (www.storewithaheart.com)
- Automatic fee-free nomination for the Blog of the Year award
BREW Community’s Pick
All quarterly blog award category winners are automatically nominated for this award. After the 4th quarter blog awards results are announced, BREW readers will be asked to vote for their favourite blog. This is a time-sensitive voting process, so voters need to make a selection as soon as they can. BREW newsletter subscribers are the first to receive notice about when the voting starts. Thus, we highly recommend that you sign up now so you’d be the first to know.
The BREW Community’s Pick awardee will receive the following:
- Copyright to use the specific award title for the year on your blog and promotional materials
- A personalised digital logo with your blog name
- Award announced on the BREW website and other channels
- A consolidated PR
- A permanent 10% discount on all products and services offered on our partner site, Store with a Heart (www.storewithaheart.com)
Blog of the Year
This is the award given to the best blog, chosen from among the winners of the different blog award categories.
The winner will receive the following entitlements:
- A winner’s digital certificate
- Copyright to use the specific award title for the year on your blog and promotional materials
- A personalised digital logo with your blog name and the Blog of the Year title
- Award announced on the BREW website and other channels
- A permanent 10% discount on all products and services offered on our partner site, Store with a Heart (www.storewithaheart.com)
Note: Prizes for all BREW awards are neither convertible to cash nor transferrable. Digital logos provided to the winners can be used on the winning blog’s pages and other promotional materials, provided that all internet or web posts will contain a link redirecting to the specific BREW page for the award received. Prizes may be reviewed and changed as time goes on.
How to nominate for the awards
BREW staff, contractors, or volunteers and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the awards.
A nominated blog site must:
- have blog posts written in English.
- have no harmful codes, links, or similar content.
- have at least 12 blog posts within the 3 months prior to nomination.
- still exist for at least 2 years after nomination.
- have relevant, useful, and appropriate content for its intended audience.
- have a contact email or form that visitors can use for communications.
- have a user-friendly interface.
Nominations must be received and paid for on or before the deadlines to be considered for the quarterly blog awards.
Nominations need to be paid to progress to the next screening stage for the quarterly awards.
All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
All quarterly award category winners are automatically nominated for the BREW Community’s Pick and Blog of the Year awards. Only the quarterly award category winners for the relevant year can be considered for the BREW Community’s Pick and Blog of the Year title. There is no fee required for a BREW Community’s Pick and Blog of the Year nominations.
A blog can be entered for several quarterly awards for the calendar year provided that all of the below are met:
- The appropriate form for every relevant quarter is completed
- All required information and files are submitted for every nomination.
- All applicable fees for all quarters’ nominations are paid.
Submissions for previous quarterly awards cannot be reused for subsequent quarterly awards.
All entries must be submitted by the blog owner or duly-authorised representative using the required form. If you are experiencing internet problems or technical issues at your location, you can authorise a person you trust to complete the required form, provided that such is being done for and on your behalf including but not limited to your understanding of and agreement to abide with the awards terms and conditions, BREW Privacy Policy, general BREW website and service terms of use, and all other relevant BREW policies and procedures.
Costs
- FREE – This is if you choose to avail 1 fee-free category nomination slot sponsored by our multi-award-winning online gift shop, Store with a Heart (www.storewithaheart.com). This option is available for the following:
- duly-registered non-profit organizations;
- small businesses with an annual net income of not more than 18,000 AUD or roughly 12,700 USD; and,
- individuals or organizations genuinely needing financial assistance for their blog’s nomination.
- 20 AUD – This is the regular nomination fee per blog per category from 1 January to 14 February 2022 only.
- 100 AUD (roughly 71 USD) – This is the regular nomination fee per blog per category from 15 February 2022 onwards.
- 400 AUD – This is the additional fee per blog, only if post-judging feedback is requested. Only 1 post-judging feedback report will be issued to a blog even if it has more than 1 category nominations. This fee is not payable, if post-judging feedback is not expected.

You may recommend additional categories. We reserve the right to reject, change, add, delete, or rename categories as deemed necessary or appropriate.
We reserve the right not to confer an award for certain categories if there are no entries that meet the minimum requirements to receive an award.
We may also choose to confer another category award title to a deserving blog, if a change is deemed more appropriate.
The Judging Process
The judging panel shall be composed of readers, writers, or professionals from a relevant field.
Judging will be based on predetermined benchmarks, best practices, and standards. Obvious or potential conflicts of interest will be avoided in selecting judges and during the entire pre- to post-judging stages, as far as possible.
Judges’ identities are not disclosed to preserve the impartiality and fairness of the awards.
Generally, no feedback will be provided to entries. If you need judging feedback for your entry, you need to pay an extra fee per blog per category nomination per quarterly award.
We reserve the right not to confer an award for certain categories if there are no entries that meet the minimum requirements to receive an award.
We may also choose to confer another category award title to a deserving blog, if a change is deemed more appropriate.
