Points for this criterion may include one or more of the following factors:
Defining the “It” Factor
The “It” factor encompasses those elusive qualities that elevate a blog beyond the ordinary, leaving an indelible mark on its audience. Judges in the BREW International Blog Award recognise that the “It” factor cannot be easily quantified but is a combination of charisma, originality, authenticity, and a certain magnetic quality that makes a blog stand out in the crowded digital space.
Creativity and Originality
At the heart of the “It” factor lies creativity and originality. Judges assess how well a blog breaks new ground, offers fresh perspectives, and injects the extraordinary into its content. Whether through innovative storytelling, unique perspectives, or unconventional approaches, the “It” factor celebrates blogs that defy conventions and captivate their audience with a creative flair.
Authenticity and Personality
The “It” factor also hinges on the authenticity and personality of a blog. Judges consider how well the blog’s voice resonates with its intended audience and whether it exudes a genuine, relatable personality. An authentic blog establishes a connection with readers, fostering a sense of trust and loyalty that contributes to its distinctiveness.
Engagement and Interaction
Blogs with the “It” factor actively engage and interact with their audience. Judges evaluate the blog’s ability to foster a sense of community, encourage dialogue, and build relationships with readers. A blog that goes beyond delivering content and actively involves its audience in discussions and activities embodies the interactive spirit that defines the “It” factor.
Impact and Memorable Impressions
The lasting impact a blog leaves on its readers is a key consideration in the “It” factor. Judges assess whether the blog has the power to create memorable impressions, spark conversations, and be remembered long after the initial visit. Blogs with the “It” factor become influencers, leaving an enduring mark on their readers and the blogging community.
