About the Author

Azizi Tuere, a passionate storyteller, found her calling in writing children’s books inspired by her twelve-year-old daughter’s own publishing journey. Her beloved picture book series, “Because I Am…,” aims to strengthen family bonds and boost children’s self-esteem through touching and meaningful stories.
As a dedicated homeschool mom to two young daughters, Azizi crafts tales from everyday experiences and incorporates lessons on emotional intelligence. Her mission is to impart positive messages to kids about their inner beauty, creativity, gratitude, and understanding what true success means.
Outside of writing, Azizi is the creator of “Tiny Green Chef,” an online plant-based cooking program for kids. This initiative, much like her books, equips families with natural and practical resources to thrive together. Additionally, Azizi serves as a Parent Leadership coach and helps families cultivate environments where everyone can grow, contribute, and flourish.

It’s easy to think that self-esteem and self-acceptance are just buzzwords from the way they are used and overused in social media, but instilling these values in our young ones can protect them from real threats in their adult age.
