Synopsis

Chernobyl, 1986. How will dogs manage to stay alive in the absence of humans?

As people tried to escape the nuclear tragedy, they were compelled to abandon their animals as they ran. In the absence of humans, wildlife such as lynx, bears, and wolves started to populate the woods that surrounded the power station. However, dogs are not permitted in the thicket since it is too overgrown. Will Zoya and her pups Misha and Bratan be able to make it through their ordeal in the wastelands? And will Zoya ever be reunited with the one who cherished her so much?

  1. I don’t know a single kid who wouldn’t get totally invested in a story that has dogs as main characters. Including my almost-40-year-old husband 😛 So I can definitely see why this author is so succesful!
