Digisha is the author of “The Chimerical War: Destiny of India” and debuting with a whole new perception of the writing world. She is working on several other pieces. Experienced in writing poetry, she is good at multiple genres, with an expertise in thrillers and dramas.
BREW Question: Did you love reading books when you were little? Why or why not?
Author’s Answer: Yes, of course. It’s genetic.
BREW Question: At what age did you start reading books? What were your best memories of that time?
Author’s Answer: Since the day I learned how to read, I’m doing that. Even before that, I used to pick up stories books from the store and my grandfather would narrate at least 3 stories to me every night.
BREW Question: What was the first book you loved reading? Why?
Author’s Answer: Panchtantra. I loved the way animals had fun.
BREW Question: When did you first think about writing your first book? Why?
Author’s Answer: When I was 5 years old, I came across a book lying somewhere in the study, and I came to know it was written by my father. Since then, I have always wanted to do the same.
BREW Question: What was the greatest obstacle you’ve encountered when you were writing your book? What made you overcome it?
Author’s Answer: Anybody can create a story in mind, what’s difficult is to get it written. The first draft takes it all. I had to tell myself hundred times a day that the story is good enough to be written and I have to write it.
BREW Question: What pieces of advice can you give aspiring authors? What worked for you?
Author’s Answer: Dear authors, do not ever think that the story isn’t worth writing or reading, or it has already been written or anything like that. Your story is as unique as you. And, I can bet, I won’t ever find another you, for sure.
BREW Question: Who are the authors or books that had the greatest influence on your own writing? Why?
Author’s Answer: I read several authors, but the most influential was my father, the day I had his book in my hand, I knew what I wanted to do.
BREW Question: What are your future writing plans?
Author’s Answer: It’s not even a beginning, I would say. My readers and me, together, have miles to go. A lot many stories, characters, cliff-hangers and books are coming. Stay tuned.

The author makes a great point. Although the old adage that says that “there’s nothing new under the sun” is true, it’s also true that, as she points out there are as many perspectives as there are writers. I think that’s truly encouraging advice!
