Jokes can be risky! Punch Line, the second book in Richard A. Danzig’s Chance Cormac legal thriller series, follows Chance Cormac back in action. After a six-month suspension for knocking out an opponent outside the courthouse, Chance is once again practicing law from his Brooklyn brownstone.
He soon takes on the case of a comedian who was stabbed after a late-night set featuring jokes about the trans community. In one of his most personal cases yet, Chance also defends his former paralegal and first love in a frivolous custody battle brought by the sperm donor, the biological father of her daughter and Chance’s goddaughter, Melody.
Punch Line is a fast-paced ride through the streets and courthouses of Brooklyn, filled with rogue cops, corrupt lawyers, and official misconduct.
