• Poem: TO HAVE LOST
  
  To have lost the love of a
  life time and a sibling
  within the lifespan of a gnat
  circling ripe fruit in a bowl
  has been like being beaten
  before being condemned to
  mournful mists of melancholy.
  It should be a time to spend in tears
  but I cannot bring myself to grieve.
  Instead I celebrate I knew him
  and that I felt the elation
  which sprang from being
  in her presence, in watching
  the undulation of her hips
  as she swept with a broom,
  inhaling the residue of her
  perfume; in being privileged to
  be present as he left the room.
