  • Listing ID: 36483
  • Poetry Author's Name: River C
  • Poem: From east to west, my hull was thrust,
to trade an ocean for the dust.
Now this ghost ship drifts through every town,
where solid anchors won't go down.
The world is a port with sealed-off gates,
    that watches, wonders, hesitates.
My spectral deck, my misty mast,
a shadow that was built to last.
Oh, let my fog finally clear,
and find a welcome harbor here.
Let this ghost become a guest,
truly seen, and home, at rest.
