Poem:
A little girl used to sleep alone in a dark room
Never cried when she stumbled and got wounded
Always laughed at the jokes of her dad
And always leaned on when feeling defeated
They called her ‘brave’ and ‘smart’
The thought of facing her fears without doubt
But years passed
That girl became a fully grown woman
Anxiety and depression were encountered
So many nights
Holding the pillow tight
She knows that she doesn’t need to be alone
But suddenly she asked herself
“Can I go back to the days when I was strong?”
