  • Poem: 6 feet deep underneath the surface.

My eyes camouflage with the water, red with intent. Red with motivation to not be dead with only devotion. I moved fast, grabbed your hand and went for the sky.

Your frustration digs deep into my skin and with every moment, I thank the heavens for adrenaline.

We crash and break through when our hands meet beyond the surface. I push up, move your hands down so it would hurt less.

    First breath of hope.

You push me down to push you up. That hope was only temporary. Back underneath the glass, your hand an anvil on my head.

Flick me away while you meet the shore.

My lifeless limbs rest powered by the core.

6 feet deep underneath the surface.
