T.V. Holiday’s Vendetta: Legend of the Iron Warrior, Vol 3 is a faith-based urban fantasy novel that takes us on a wild ride to Carnage Coast, the battleground between good and evil.

Review

T.V. Holiday’s Vendetta: Legend of the Iron Warrior, Vol 3 is the perfect blend of faith, fantasy, action, and romance.

The third book in the Legend of the Iron Warrior series, the novel takes us to Carnage Coast. Also known as the Seventh City, Carnage Coast is the secret battleground between good and evil. It is here that God’s Champion would fight Luc, the devil, for the fate of humanity. Travis Holiday is God’s fist in the war. He is the Iron Warrior. However, his life takes a drastic turn with a revelation from Luc. He disappears for two years to get his bearings. In that time, Carnage Coast is left in the capable hands of the Seventh City Sentinels. Demons haunt the streets of the city. When Travis returns, he is faced with an unlikely foe, Candace Loveless. Calling herself the Sadistic Saint, Candace reveals unknown secrets about Travis in front of the city and works to dismantle his Iron Warrior persona. In the process, she leaves behind a trail of bodies. His close ones also notice out-of-character things about Travis.

What is Candace’s motive? Who does she work for? How does she know so much about Travis? Will Travis be able to keep his faith steady and defeat her? Will he be able to reunite with his son, AJ?

T.V. Holiday’s Vendetta: Legend of the Iron Warrior, Vol 3 took me on a literal rollercoaster ride. The vivid writing style teleported me to the chaotic Carnage Coast. I was there with Travis every step of the way. The book is much more than a superhero vs villain story. It tackles profound themes like faith, fate, love, trust, sacrifice, and self-discovery. Biblical themes are seamlessly woven into the narrative. Verses from the Bible are integrated in such a way that they make us stop and reflect. This does not affect the pace of the story. In fact, it adds to the fast-paced, thrilling vibe. Kudos to the T.V. Holiday for managing this. Having said this, the book does have some cool action scenes. They gave me goosebumps.

Faith is beautifully portrayed. Travis’ and Ashley’s take on it is worth pondering. I loved how Pastor Mike and Shannah dealt with it. Candace’s thoughts on faith and freedom cannot be discounted as well. She is a well-rounded antagonist. Her childhood with a tyrannical aunt shaped her views. I believe there are many people who share her views. Reading T.V. Holiday’s Vendetta: Legend of the Iron Warrior, Vol 3 is bound to give them some perspective.

All the characters in this novel are nicely developed. Travis’ hero’s journey feels realistic. Crystal is amazing. However, like Travis, her doubts gutted me as well. Though her reaction was completely justified. Ashley’s unwavering faith won my heart. Jim Hicks made a special place in my heart. Rebecca, Leslie, and Johnny all grew in this book. Though there were times when I disagreed with Rebecca. Rainstorm intrigued me. His change is beautifully depicted. Diversion, Simpleton, Hypnotion, and Hail all reminded me of super villains. Among them, I would really like to know more about Diversion. I love the name of the Diabolic Donnas. Travis’ counterpart, the Archangel, left me gaping, just like the other characters.

I have to make a special mention of the illustrations. They are super-realistic. They made the characters and milieu come to life.

T.V. Holiday’s Vendetta: Legend of the Iron Warrior, Vol 3 is full of twists and turns. There is never a dull moment. I am super-excited for the next book. I highly recommend T.V. Holiday’s Vendetta: Legend of the Iron Warrior, Vol 3 to fans of action-packed urban fantasy novels. Readers who enjoy angsty superhero tales and faith-based stories will love this book.

Reading is my passion, and writing is my compulsion. I started reading from a very early age. Since then, I have not stopped. I have garnered this addiction from my father. I have always loved reading his books. As you can see, books are my world. I escape this world to traverse the world of my books. Naturally, I have an affinity to create worlds of my own. There are thoughts constantly swirling in my head. These are the thoughts that I jot down. Sometimes, they become poems while sometimes stories. More often than not, they are just reviews of the plethora of books I read and the things I do.
