“I couldn’t live a week without a private library – indeed, I’d part with all my furniture and squat and sleep on the floor before I’d let go of the 1500 or so books I possess.”

― H. P. Lovecraft

Lovecraft was more like a bookworm extraordinaire, diving into tales of horror and mystery like no other. In this quote, he couldn’t imagine life without his personal library. Seriously, he’d give up his furniture and crash on the floor just to keep his 1500 books close. Talk about dedication, right?

Even though this quote isn’t from any specific story of Lovecraft’s, it gives us a peek into his passion for reading and collecting books. You can almost picture him huddled up in his little book nook, surrounded by all those tales of the weird and wonderful.

Lovecraft’s love for his library is relatable as there’s something special about having a physical collection of books. They’re like old friends you can always turn to when you need a bit of comfort or escape from reality.

How about you? What do you think? Do you agree with this quote? I’m looking forward to knowing your thoughts.
