“Despite the enormous quantity of books, how few people read! And if one reads profitably, one would realize how much stupid stuff the vulgar herd is content to swallow every day.”
― Voltaire
Voltaire’s got a point, doesn’t he? It’s like he’s gently nudging us, saying, “Hey, look around! There’s a whole library of wisdom out there, but not many are taking the time to explore it. And if they did, they’d see how much silly stuff folks are munching on like it’s their daily snack.”
But you know what? Instead of pointing fingers, maybe we can offer a hand. We all have different tastes, after all. Some prefer lighter reads, others dive deep into the heavy stuff. And that’s totally okay.
So, let’s spread some book love with kindness. Maybe recommend a gem we’ve found or something. Because who knows? A good story might just change someone’s world for the better. And that’s worth celebrating, don’t you think?
How about you? What do you think? Do you agree with this quote? I’m looking forward to knowing your thoughts.
