  • Genre: Romance
  • Titles of All Books: Crimson: A Dark Sidhe Faerie Tale
  • 1. Did you love reading books when you were little? Why or why not?: I loved reading everything that I could get my hands on. One of the very first books I remember reading was Othello, by Shakespeare. My father had an old copy of it that I used to sneak off the shelves in his room to read. It was my first introduction to the world of literature and I fell in love with it. I have been writing ever since.
  • 2. At what age did you start reading books? What were your best memories of that time?: I have been reading since I can remember. The best memories that I had were coming up with my own outcomes of certain stories that I would read. If I didn't like how a book would end, I would write my own ending and use my imagination, like the characters were real in my head. My creativity still takes me to another world where all of my characters are real, just waiting to be written.
  • 3. What was the first book you loved reading? Why?: There are a few books that I loved reading as a child. I read Othello when I was six or seven, and I fell in love with literature because of it. I also loved to read Dr. Seuss, because his stories were fun and I could use my imagination to no end with his stories. When I was little, I used to read just about everything, but my favorite was A Midsummer Night's Dream. I read that shortly after I read Othello, and have been fascinated with the fae world ever since.
  • 4. When did you first think about writing your first book? Why?: I have been writing since I was a child, so I am unable to pinpoint when I first thought about writing my first book. I have written many, many stories and will continue to write many stories.
  • 5. What was the greatest obstacle you've encountered when you were writing your book? What made you overcome it?: The greatest obstacle that I ever encountered when writing my book was when I started to hate the story. I had to take a long few months break in between because I was working so hard on this story that everything started to become negative and I really started to hate my book. I focused too much of my energy on it and I was burnt out for a long time. Thankfully I was able to finally come back to it and I fell in love with it all over again.
  • 6. What pieces of advice can you give aspiring authors? What worked for you?: I would advise to take a break. If you don't you will burn out, hate what you have written, and think of more and more excuses why you should give up. Take breaks, breathe and remember that writing is the fun part of being an author!
  • 7. Who are the authors or what are the books that had the greatest influence in your own writing? Why?: Shakespeare is a large influence on me and always has been. I love his work, his vision and the way he has with words. Stephen King inspires me to be the best writer that I can be, and gives me motivation to write every day.
  • 8. What are your current or future writing plans? What can readers further expect from you?: I have plans on three book in my current dark faerie romance series. In the future, I do have my next series, which is not fantasy, in mind and have already started to write that series as well as trying to finish the current one.
